Mariner dump Ajax 9-1 in premier hockey
DHAKA, June 4, 2018 (BSS) – Defending champions Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club dumped Ajax Sporting Club in a super five match of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League with an overwhelming margin of 9-1 on Monday at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
In the day’s first match, Hasan Jubayer Niloy scored three goals in the 9th, 46th and 67th minutes while Mohsin Ahmed, Mainul Islam Koushik, Pormopreet Singh, Puskar Khisa Mimo, Nayeem Uddin and Azizul Islam netted one goal apiece for Mariner in the 7th, 13th, 29th, 46th, 63rd, and 69th minutes respectively in an one sided affairs.
Hridoy Anas scored the consolation goal for Ajax in the 61st minute of the match.
