PATUAKHALI, Dec 2, 2019 (BSS) – Freedom Fighters Kazi Alamgir and VP Abdul
Mannan have been made president and general secretary of the Patuakhali
district Awami League (AL) respectively for the next three years.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul
Quader today announced the names at the second session of the unit’s council
here today.
Earlier, AL Central Working Committee Member and Convener of the
Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Peace Accord Implementation Committee Abul
Hasnat inaugurated the council while Obaidul Quader addressed it as the chief
guest with district AL’s outgoing President Advocate Md Shahjahan Miah in the
chair.
AL Joint General Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif and Abdur Rahman,
Organizing Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Information and Research
Secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain, International Affairs Secretary Dr Shammi
Ahmed, Deputy Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua and Central Working
Committee Member Golam Rabbani Chinu addressed the council, among others.
