Passing out parade of Navy held in Khulna

KHULNA, Dec 02, 2019 (BSS) – Passing out parade marking the induction of B/2019 batch of 783 New Entry Sailors of Bangladesh Navy was held today at BNS Titumir parade Ground at Khalishpur in the city today (Monday).

Navy Chief Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury attended the ceremony as chief guest.

The chief guest congratulated all the new entry sailors of B/2019 batch for their outstanding performance in the service related to national security and prosperity.

Addressing the newly inducted sailors on the occasion the chief guest said, short and mid-term plan has been taken to be turned Bangladesh Navy as a dimension force globally by 2030.

He also called upon them to build up themselves worthy sailors implementing the education in future professional life which they acquired from the sailors school.

He also advised them to remain careful in maintaining all naval warships and equipment which is sacred deposition of the nation.

He called upon them to build up their competency through implementing the knowledge that they acquired from the Navy in their work.

Terming Bangladesh identified globally as a role model country for development, he said adding that capability of navy has enhanced numerously and activities to make a time befitting modern dimension navy is under processing.

BD Navy has turned a modern force globally, he said, adding that Submarine, Frigate, Modern warship, helicopter, marine petrol aircraft and modern military equipments has been added in the naval fleet.

Meanwhile, modern naval station, modern establishment, Bangabandhu Complex and upgrade training center has been completed during present government tenure, he said.

Earlier, the chief guest reviewed the smartly turned out parade and took salute at the march past.

He distributed “Noubahini Pradhan Padak”, “Kamkhul Padak” and “Titumir Padak” to the three new entry sailors who obtained first, second and third position for their outstanding performances.

The spectacular parade was witnessed, among others, by Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel) Rear Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal, Commodore Commanding of Khulna Zone Rear Admiral Muhammad Musa and local high civil and military officials of Khulna and Jessore area.
