Anisul stresses ILO’s assistance to establish labour rights

DHAKA, Nov 26, 2019 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
Minister Anisul Huq today stressed the need for assistance from International
Labour Organization (ILO) to establish labour rights and emphasized on
further strengthening ties with the UN agency.

He said there while talking to newsmen after coming out of his meeting
with ILO country director Tuomo Poutiainen at the secretariat this afternoon.

“ILO is ready to provide all kinds of support to Bangladesh to achieve
all its standards in establishing labour rights as we have been able to
fulfil the pledges we made in the past ILO conference,” Anisul said.

The law minister said the ILO delegation now hold talks with labour
ministry about possible assistance and will take decision in this regard
after scrutinizing the matter in detail.
