FARIDPUR, Nov 26, 2019 (BSS) – Three persons were killed and 12 others
injured in a bus-truck collision in Purbo Sadardi area on Dhaka-Barishal
highway in Bhanga upazila of the district this morning.
The victims were identified as Rezaul Karim, 32, Siraj Mir, 55, and Khabir
Howlader.
A Madaripur-bound passenger bus of ‘Chandra Paribahan’ from Dhaka collided head-on with a
truck coming from the opposite direction in the area at about 9am, leaving
the three persons dead on the spot and injuring 12 others, said Md Ataur
Rahaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station.
On information, highway Police personnel and firefighters rushed to the
spot and recovered the bodies.
The injured were sent to Bhanga Health Complex.
