Razzaque for time-befitting academic curriculum of agri-universities

DHAKA, Nov 25, 2019 (BSS) – Adhering to the notion that good harvests of agricultural products accelerate food output, Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque today said the syllabus and curriculum of agricultural universities of the country should be made time befitting following the developed world.

“Syllabus and curriculum of agricultural universities of the country should be made time befitting in line with the universities of the developed world as students need to learn modern agricultural techniques in the pursuit of their higher education,” he said.

He made the call while addressing a view-exchanging meeting for the modernization of agriculture with the Vice Chancellors of Agricultural Universities and their Heads of Departments in the conference room of the Ministry of Agriculture at the Bangladesh Secretariat here.

He sought collective efforts of all for the proper implementation of national agriculture policy, seventh five-year plans and Delta Plan 2100 to achieve Vision 2021 and Vision 2041.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Agriculture Secretary Md Nasiruzzaman and senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture.
