DHAKA, June 03, 2018 (BSS)-Light to moderate rain or thundershowers
accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes are
likely to occur at some places across the country in the next 24-hours ending
9 am tomorrow.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
or squally wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at a few places
over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Chattogram, Barishal, Dhaka and
Khulna divisions,” said a met bulletin issued here.

Moreover, a few places over the divisions may see moderately heavy falls
at some places over the country in the next 24-hours commencing 9 am today,
the bulletin added.

Westerly low lies over Bihar and adjoining area, extending its trough to
North Bay across Gangetic west Bengal while Southwest monsoon has advanced up
to Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and eastern part of Dhaka division, it
continued.

Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly
unchanged over the country.

The maximum temperature was recorded 35.6 degrees Celsius yesterday at
Jashore in Khulna division and today’s minimum temperature 23.0 degrees
Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.

The highest rainfall in the last 24-hour as of 6am today was recorded 65
mm at Khepupara in Barishal division.

The sun sets today at 6:43pm and rises at 5:11 am tomorrow in the
capital.
