Leonine Chess Club takes solo lead
DHAKA, Nov 16, 2019 (BSS)- Leonine Chess Club took a solo lead in the
points table with maximum ten points after the fifth-round matches of the
First Division Chess League now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation
Hall-Room.
Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club is following closely with nine points while Mir
Chess Club is placed in the third position with seven points.
In the day’s fifth round games held today (Saturday), Leonine Chess Club
beat Legend Faraz Ayaiz Chess Team by 3.5-0.5 game points. Indian Subhayan
Kundu, IM Prantik Roy and Sheikh Khairul Islam of Leonine beat Yasir Ali Khan
Evan, Mohammad Hasan Mia and Nasim Hossain Bhuiyan of Legend Faraz Ayaiz
Chess Team respectively.
Mohammad Salman Mushi of Legend Faraz Ayaiz Chess Team split points with CM
Nayem Haque of Leonine Chess Club. Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club beat Basir
Memorial Chess Club by 3.5-0.5 game points. Mir Chess Club beat Debdas Biswas
Smirity Sangsad by 2.5-1.5 game points Shahin Chess Club beat Kasparov Chess
Club by 4-0 game points and Khelaghor Daba Sangah of Gopalganj beat Agrani
Bank Limited Daba Dal by 2.5-1.5 game points.
The sixth round matches will start tomorrow (Sunday) at the same venue.
