Govt. developing infrastructures at educational institutions: Shahriar

RAJSHAHI, Nov 16, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar
Alam today said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly for infrastructural
development at educational institutions across the country.

The state minister was addressing the triennial conference of Bagha Upazila
unit of Bangladesh College Teachers Association (BCTA) at Mozahar Hossain
Women’s Degree College playground under the same upazila as the chief guest.

“The grassroots people are enjoying facilities of many of the development
schemes implemented in every nook and corner of rural areas and social change
has become visible everywhere in the rural areas due to the massive
infrastructural development,” he added.

Earlier, he unveiled the foundation stone of academic building of the
college which is being constructed by the department of education
engineering.

Chaired by Principal of the college Nasim Uddin the meeting was addressed,
among others, by RCTA district unit president Prof Shafiqur Rahman, its
general secretary Principal Rajkumar Sarker and Awami League leader Ashraful
Islam.

Shahriar Alam said Bangladesh has attained remarkable success in various
development indicators.

He said the country is progressing fast in every sector, especially in
ICT, food production, education, women empowerment, GDP and per capita
income.

Shahriar Alam said the present government attached highest priority to the
education sector to create skilled workforce.

The state minister inaugurated the newly constructed building of Yusufpur
Union Parishad Complex and unveiled the foundation stone of the under-
construction Gobindapur Dakhil Madrasha under the same upazila.
