Abahani, Mariner post win in premier hockey
DHAKA, June 2, 2018 (BSS)- Abahani Limited and Dhaka Mariners Youngs Club won in the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League beating their respective rivals in the super five matches held on Saturday at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
In the day’s first match, Abahani Limited dumped Ajax Sporting Club by 7-2 goals.
IN the day’s match, Tajuddin Ahmed and Roman Sarkar scored a brace each while Ashraful Islam and Mohammad Mohsin netted one goal apiece for the traditional sky blue Dhanmondi ‘outfit’.
Indian recruit Harmandeep and Rajhat Sarowar netted one goal each for Ajax SC.
In the day’s second match, Mariners defeated Sonali Bank Sporting Club by 6-1 goals.
In the day’s match, Hasan Jubayer Niloy scored three goals while M Julhaire, Farhad Ahmed Situl and Ashraf Sayeed netted one goal each for Mariners.
Dwin Islam Emon pulled one back for for Sonali Bank.
