RANGPUR, Nov 12, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) arrested a
presumed member of banned militant organisation ‘Allahor Dal’ from Elisa
Super Market in Sadar upazila of Gaibandha district last night.
“On a tip off, a special cell of RAB-13 from its battalion headquarters
conducted raid at the market and arrested the militant,” a press release
issued by Assistant Director and Media Officer of RAB-13 Khondker Golam
Mortuza said here tonight.
The arrested militant is Regional Nayek of the banned militant outfit
‘Allahor Dal’ Al Shahariya Rokan, 32, son of Tayeb Ali of village Kuptola in
Sadar upazila of Gaibandha district.
During primary interrogation, the arrested militant admitted that he had
been engaged in paying and collecting funds for the banned militant
organisation, taking part in secret meetings and enlisting new members since
2001.
