DHAKA, Nov 12, 2019 (BSS)- All the four matches of the fifth round of
National Cricket League (NCL) in Tier-1 and Tier-2 ended in a draw in the
respective venues across the country after some national discards like Rubel

Playing for Khulna Division, Rubel Hossain delivered his first class
cricket’s career best bowling, claiming 7-51 as Khulna drew the match with
Rajshahi Division in Tier-1 game at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Rubel’s seven-for bowled Rajshahi out for 151 in their first innings
before Khulna took a 50 runs lead by being dismissed for 201 after Farhad
Reza’s six-for in the first innings in rain-interrupted game. The day one of
the match was washed out without a ball being bowled. However, on day four,
Rajshahi reached 191-7 before the bails were drawn and thereby the match
settled for a draw.

Khulna, despite the draw, topped the point table with 29.66 points while
Dhaka Division is in second spot with 24.1 points.

Dhaka Division, however, settled for a draw in another Tier-1 game against
Rangpur Division at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.

Rangpur was shot out for 234 and dismissed Dhaka for 222 to get 12-run
first innings lead. Nasir Hossain then struck an unbeaten 161 as Rangpur
declared their second innings on 271-9, setting a 284-run target for Dhaka to
win the game. On the final and fourth day, Dhaka reached 176-4 before the
bails were drawn.

Three centuries were registered in the Tier-2 game between Dhaka Metro and
Sylhet Division before it ended in a draw at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in
Rajshahi.

Shamsur Rahman Shuvo hit 114 as Dhaka Metro declared the first innings on
311-8. Amit Hasan’s 125, however, helped Sylhet earn a 40-run lead as they
were bundled out for 351. Marshall Ayub then hammered a fabulous 163 as Metro
declared the second innings on 395-6 and set a 356 runs target for Sylhet to
win the game. However, Sylhet were 187-4 on final and fourth day when the
bails were drawn.

After the first three days were washed out without a ball being bowled,
the game between Barishal and Chattogram finally rolled on to the ground for
sometimes on final day at Barishal Stadium but it was all draw by then.

Barishal declared the first innings on 70-3 before Chattogram reached 45-
0.
