PM to open ‘PKSF Development Fair’ on Thursday

DHAKA, Nov 12, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to
inaugurate the seven-day ‘Development Fair’ under the auspices of Palli
Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) at the Bangabandhu International Conference
Centre (BICC) in the city.

PKSF is organising the fair with a view to expanding the market of
products made by marginal people and participants of different programmes of
PKSF, said PKSF Chairman Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad at a press briefing at
Jatiya Press Club here on Monday.

PKSF Managing Director Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah also addressed the
press conference.

In the inaugural session of the fair, lifetime achievement award will be
given to a distinguished person for contributing to the field of poverty
alleviation, sustainable development and establishing dignity of human being.

Five seminars will also be arranged in the seven-day fair.

A total of 130 organisations, including associate bodies of PKSF from
rural areas, different public and private organizations, research and
information technology (IT) institutions and service-oriented organizations
will set up 190 stalls in the fair.

Agricultural, foods and traditional products manufactured by small
entrepreneurs of grassroots level will be on display.

The fair will remain open for visitors from 10 am to 8:30 pm every day.
