Mosadek returns home due to family emergency

NAGPUR, Nov 11, 2019 (BSS) – Mosaddek Hossain is likely to miss the two-
match Test series against India, starting with Indore Test on November 14, as
he had to return to Bangladesh due to family emergency.

He returns to Bangladesh on Monday with the players, who were part of the
T20 squad, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said in a press release.

On Sunday, Mosaddek missed the series deciding T20, due to groin problem
but was expected to be fit ahead of the Test series, with which Bangladesh
would start their World Test Champions journey.

The Bangladesh team however reached Indore on Monday without Mosaddek.

Mosadek returned home for some family problems, the BCB press release
added.

People close to him said Mosadek’s mother is very ill and needs an
operation according to doctors. Mosadek wants to be with his ailing mother
during this time.

As Mosadek is not with the squad, Bangladesh will have 14 members to
choose for the Indore Test. BCB still do not know the seriousness of his
mother’s illness and hence did not think of a replacement yet for the all-
rounder.

Bangladesh Test Squad: Shadman Islam, Imrul Kayes, Saif Hassan, Mominul
Haque (Cap), Liton Kumar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mohammad
Mithun, Mosaddek Hossain, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Nayeen Hasan,
