KHULNA, Nov 11, 2019 (BSS) – The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the birth
and demise of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), was observed here as
elsewhere in the country with due religious fervor and solemnity on Sunday.
On this day in 570, the 12th of Rabiul Awal of the Hijri calendar, Hazrat
Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah, Saudi Arabia with divine blessings and
messages of peace for mankind.
Marking the day, elaborate programmes were organized — including special
prayers, zikir, doa and milad mahfil, discussion, providing food to orphans
and destitute and bringing out processions — to welcome the holy
Miladunnabi.
Different social, cultural, religious, spiritual and political
organisations and different state-run organizations, including the Islamic
Foundation, chalked up elaborate programmes to mark the day.
