President hosts doa mahfil at Bangabhaban

DHAKA, Nov 10, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today hosted a milad doa mahfil at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban after Asr prayers on the occasion of holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, the birth and death anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) (PBUH).

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, cabinet members, deputy speaker , chief election commissioner (CEC), Supreme Court judges, state ministers, judges of High Court Division, cabinet secretary, chiefs of three services, principal secretary, vice chancellors of universities, diplomats of different Muslim countries, senior journalists, members of the parliament, political leaders, secretaries of different ministries and high civil and military officials, among others, attended the Milad.

Pesh Imam of Bangabhaban Jam-e-Masjid Maulana Saiful Kabir conducted the munajat after the milad mahfil.

Special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for peace and prosperity of the country, welfare of the people and greater unity of the Muslim Ummah across the world.

Doa was also offered praying for the eternal peace of the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in 1971 Liberation War and different other democratic movements in different times.

A particular doa was also offered seeking eternal peace of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his deceased family members, who were brutally assassinated on the fateful night on August 15, 1975.
