NETRAKONA, July 31, 2017 (BSS) – Speakers have stressed here on the
media role for promoting the socio-economic development of ethnic community.
Media can play significant role to overcome different barriers including superstitions and illiteracy to ensure sustainable development of Small Ethnic Community, they said.
This view expressed at a meeting on “The role of media for keeping the balance of environment and improving the lifestyle of indigenous people” at Netrakona Press Club today.
Janouddoyg, a voluntary organization of the district organized the
meeting where president of the organization Professor Kamruzzaman Chowdhury was in the chair.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by Professor Matindra Sarker, vice president of Netrakona Press Club Haider Jahan Chowdhury, general secretary Shamolendu Paul, freedom fighter Khandaker Anisur Rahman, Professor Noni Gupal Sarker, editor of daily Banglar Netra Kamal Hussain and journalist AKM Abdullah.
