DHAKA, Nov 08, 2019 (BSS) – Housing and Public Works Minister S M Rezaul Karim today inspected the construction work of Bangladesh Bar Council Bhaban and directed the concerned engineers and other officials to expedite their efforts.
Public Works Department is implementing the project of constructing the 15-floor building on Supreme Court premises at a cost of Taka 117.66 crore. The construction work is scheduled to be completed by June 2021.
Once completed, there would be place for 31 cars to be parked, with two basements and total working space of 1, 26,688 sqf.
There would be designated space for bar council chairman, vice-chairman, tribunal chairman, tribunal room, meeting room, bank area, three conference rooms, five training rooms, one exhibition hall, one day care, two cafeterias, record room, office room and 12 guest rooms, among other facilities in the building.
Modern fire fighting system would be installed in the building, with one fire lift and fire station.
