CHATTOGRAM, Nov 8, 2019 (BSS)- Customs intelligence and investigation officials today detained a passenger of Air Arabia flight with 136 cartons of foreign-made cigarettes at Shah Amanat International Airport here.
The detained person was identified as Mohammad Abul Hasan, hailed from Raozan upazila of the district.
On a tip-off, the officials in cooperation with the officials of a security agencies recovered the 136 cartons foreign brand cigarette worth about Taka seven lakh from four separate shopping bags in the flight which came from Sarza at 10 am today, said Assistant Commissioner of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Mohammad Shoikat.
The passengers temporarily detained for interrogation, he added.
