DHAKA, Nov 8, 2019 (BSS) – The maritime ports have been advised to keep
hoisting local warning signal number four as the cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’
intensifying into a very severe cyclonic storm over west-central Bay and
adjoining east-central Bay moved northwards over the same area.

The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been
advised to keep hoisted local warning signal number four at a scale of 10,
according to a release of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

It was centered at 12 noon today about 695 km southwest of Chattogram port,
645 km southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 585 km southwest of Mongla port and 575
km southwest of Payra port.

It is likely to intensify further and move in a north-northwesterly
direction. Under the peripheral influence of the severe cyclonic storm
‘Bulbul’, gusty wind may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and coastal
areas of the country.

Sea will remain very high near the severe cyclone centre.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain
in shelter till further notice.
