Saida Muna exchanges views with Bangladeshi students in London

DHAKA, Nov 5, 2019 (BSS) – A view exchange meeting between Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK) Saida Muna Tasnim and Bangladeshi higher education level students and researchers at different UK universities was held at the Bangladesh High Commission in London.

Bangladeshi Students and researchers, who are studying and conducting researches at different UK universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Kings College, Imperial College, Queens Mary University, SOAS and university of Wareweeks, with government and non-government scholarship or fellowship, took part at the view exchange meeting on Friday, said a message received here today.

Addressing the meeting, High Commissioner Saida Muna Tasnim said under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has set a unique example of development in education, social and economic sectors in the globe.

The prime minister is implementing the plan of transforming the country into a developing country by 2021 and a developed one by 2041, she added.

The high commissioner hoped that the Bangladeshi students and researchers, who are studying higher education and conducting research in the UK, will be the part of the process of building the ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by playing pivotal role in their respective fields after coming back to the homeland.
