Covers of four books unveiled at Kolkata book fair
KOLKATA, Nov 2, 2019 (BSS) – Covers of four books were unveiled in a programme on the second day of the ninth Bangladesh Book Fair-2019 here today.
The books are: ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’, ‘Saiji Punoshcho’, ‘Sahitya-er Nana Katha’ and ‘Shimanter Opare’.
The aforesaid books are written by Ak Abdul Momen, Maruful Islam, Nasim Uddin Malitha and Khan Mahbub respectively.
The 10-day fair is going on at Mohar Kunja in Kolkata under the auspices of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in association with Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Gyan O Srijonshil Prokashok Samity.
Later, a seminar on Bengali polymath Vidyasagar was held on the fair premises with Counsellor (Consular) of Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Kolkata Bashir Uddin presiding.
Former Director General of Bangla Academy Professor Prof Shamsuzzaman Khan attended the seminar as the chief guest.
Indian academician Pabitra Sarkar, eminent personality Dr Sankar Kumar Nath and Daily Kalerkantho Acting Editor Mostofa Kamal were also present on the occasion.
