DHAKA, Oct 30, 2018 (BSS) – Rubric Publishing Delhi, India has published the Hindi version of poet Kamal Chowdhury’s ‘Nirbachito Kabita’ with the title ‘Ki Kavitayein’.
Rubric has also published English versions of three more books, ‘Baroti Galpo’ of short-story writer and novelist Hasan Azizul Haque, ‘Bhumi o Kushum’ of novelist Selina Hossain and ‘Shufi Sahitya Vabna o Bishwa Sahitya’ of poet Sheikh Rabiul Haque, said a press release.
The English names of the three books are: ‘One Dozen’, ‘The Land and The Flower’ and ‘Sufi Thoughts in Literature and World Peace’.
In this regard, Bangiya Council for Literature and Culture organised an “International Books Launch Festival 2019′ at the Kabi Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the Bangladesh National Museum in the city on Tuesday night.
Prime Minister’s International Relation Affairs Adviser Professor Dr Gowher Rizvi attended the festival as the chief guest while National Professor Rafiqul Islam was in the chair.
Poet Kamal Chowdhury, novelist Selina Hossain, poet Sheikh Rabiul Islam and storyteller Puja Roy spoke on the occasion.
Former Director General of the Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan and Vice Chancellor of Islamic University Professor Rashid Askari, among others, were present.
