Global Media and Information Literacy Week begins
DHAKA, Oct 25, 2019 (BSS) – The eight ‘Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week-2019’ began today in the city under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with a view to increasing the media and information literacy.
Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud and State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan, in their messages wished a success in celebrating the MIL week.
As part of it, Founder and Chief Adviser of East West University(EWU) and Economist Dr Mohammed Farashuddin inaugurated the week on October 24 on EWU campus premises with Department of Information Studies and Library Management Chairperson Dr Dilara Begum in the chair, a press release said here today.
To mark the week, the EWU is organizing various programmes from 10 am to 3 pm every day.
