DINAJPUR, July 28, 2017 (BSS) – Two policemen were killed in a road accident in Hakimpur upazila headquarters area of the district on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as assistant sub-inspector Siddiqur Rahman and constable Akbar Hossain of Hakimpur police station.
Officer-in-charge of Hakimpur Police Station Abdur Shabur said the accident occurred around 6.30pm in the area when a speedy truck hit their motorcycle leaving them critically injured.
Later, locals rescued them and sent to Hakimpur Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared them dead.
A case was filed in this connection, the OC added.
