DHAKA, Oct 20, 2019 (BSS) – The High Court (HC) today got nine new additional judges as President Md Abdul Hamid made the appointments for two years from the date of their oath, in line with Article 98 of the Constitution.
The law ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard today.
The nine newly appointed additional judges are – District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Mahbub-ul-Islam, District and Sessions Judge Shahed Nuruddin, Supreme Court Registrar General Dr Md Zakir Hossain, District and Sessions Judge Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, Supreme Court Advocate Md Mahmud Hasan Talukder, Supreme Court Advocate Kazi Ebadat Hossain, Deputy Attorney General KM Zahid Sarwar, Deputy Attorney General AKM Zahirul Haque and Deputy Attorney General Kazi Zinat Hoque.
Meanwhile, the apex court sources said the oath taking ceremony of the newly appointed judges would be held tomorrow as 10.30am at the Supreme Court.
