Ex-MP Mustafizur Rahman’s death anniversary tomorrow
DHAKA, Oct 19, 2019 (BSS)- The 18th death anniversary of Mustafizur
Rahman, a former parliament member, will be observed tomorrow.
To mark the day, Sandwip Upazila Awami League will organise different
programmes including placing a wreath at his grave, Quran khawni and doa
mahfil and food distribution among the orphan and destitute.
Rupali Life Insurance will organise a memorial meeting and doa mahfil at
its head office here around 3pm on October 23 to mark his death anniversary.
Mustafizur Rahman was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) from Sandwip in
1991 and 1996 in Awami League ticket.
He was also an editor and publisher of Daily Rupali, Weekly Sandwip,
Weekly Sadesh Khabor and monthly Banker. The former lawmaker established
different social and financial institutions including Rupali, National,
Karnaphuli and Sandhani life insurance companies.
Mustafizrur Rahman died at Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital in 2001.
