Women to play vital role for processed food production: Indira

DHAKA, Oct 16, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Women and Children Affairs
Fazilatunnesa Indira today said woman entrepreneurs will play a vital role in
producing processed food items as it is gaining popularity across the
country.

“Processed foods are becoming popular due to changes in life-styles and
habits of people. Women entrepreneurs will play an important role in
producing processed foods,” she said.

She was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Business Incubation
Center of Joyeeta Foundation as the chief guest at Shahid Sheikh
Fazilatunnesa Mujib Women Training Academy at Zirani Bazar in Savar.

The Business Incubation Center of Joyeeta Foundation has been established
to provide advanced training to women entrepreneurs for producing processed
food items.

The state minister hoped that through this type of training women
entrepreneurs would become self-reliant and play important roles in the
economic development of the country.

With Joyeeta Foundation Managing Director Afroza Khan in the chair, Women
and Children Affairs Secretary Kamrun Nahar and Women Affairs Director
Department General Badrun Nessa attended the programme as special guests.
