Italian Air Chief calls on Bangladesh Air Force Chief
DHAKA, Oct 16, 2019 (BSS) – Chief of the Air staff of Italian Air Force
Lieutenant General Alberto Rosso called on Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh
Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat at Air Headquarters here
today.
During the meeting, they discussed different issues of bilateral interests
and Chief of the Air staff, Italian Air Force, was briefed on different
activities of Bangladesh Air Force, said a ISPR press release.
They also expressed hope to continue mutual co-operation to strengthen the
existing relationship between Bangladesh and Italian Air Force, ISPR press
release added.
In the morning, Chief of the Air Staff of Italian Air Force visited Shikha
Anirban (Eternal Flame) at Dhaka Cantonment and paid homage to the members of
Armed Forces martyred of the War of Liberation in 1971 by placing wreath at
the mausoleum. He also signed visitor’s book there.
On arrival at Air Headquarters in the morning, Chief of the Air Staff,
Italian Air Force was presented guard of honour by a smartly turned out BAF
Contingent. He inspected the guard and took salute.
During his stay in Bangladesh, Chief of the Air staff, Italian Air Force,
will visit different military and civil installations including, Prime
Minister’s Office, Army Headquarters, Naval Headquarters, Armed Forces
Division, BAF Base Bashar and BAF Base Bangabandhu, the release added.
The Italian Air Chief along with three delegation members arrived here
today on a three-day official visit.
