Today’s children will lead country tomorrow: Indira
DHAKA, OCT 14, 2019 (BSS) – Terming the children as future leaders of the country, State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatunnesa Indira today said children should be groomed in a way so that they are not deprived of their rights.
“Today’s children will run the country in 2041. The rights and privileges of children will not be limited to children’s week. All should work together so that no child can be deprived of the rights in Bangladesh…..” she made the comments while addressing a function as chief guest at Bangladesh Shishu Academy auditorium.
This year Children’s Day slogan is – “Today’s children bring the light, keep the world well”.
Chairman of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Lucky Enam presided over the meeting while Secretary of Women and Children Affairs Kamrun Nahar, Director General of Department of Women Affairs Badrun Nessa and Chairman of Joyeta Foundation Begum Afroza Khan were present as special guests.
Kamrun Nahir said the children must be made aware of various issues like health, nutrition and safety.
Indira distributed prizes among the winners and participants of the competition during the ceremony.
