Intruders to be pulled out from AL: Nanak

RANGPUR, Oct 14, 2019 (BSS) – Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami
League (AL) Jahangir Kabir Nanak today said those who have intruded into AL
from BNP and Jamaat will be searched out at all levels to pull them out of
the party.

“Besides, those who have assisted BNP-Jamaat intruders in entering AL for
their own interests through creating grouping and chaos within AL will also
be found out from the grassroots levels to permanently wash them out from the
party,” Nanak said.

Nanak said this while presiding over the Rangpur Divisional
Representatives’ Meeting-2019 of AL at Rangpur Town Hall auditorium in the
city. All Presidents and General Secretaries of the district, Rangpur
metropolis, upazila and union level units of AL from all nine organisational
districts of Rangpur division participated in the event.

AL Presidium Member and former Minister Ramesh Chandra Sen, MP, addressed
the meeting as chief guest.

Organizing Secretary of AL for Rangpur division BM Mozammel Haque
addressed the meeting as the Keynote Speaker. He urged all participating
leaders and workers to forward their suggestions and their probable roles in
the meeting focusing on the future party activities.

He said, “There will be competition among our leadership. But it should
not take the shape of vengeance. We will quickly form all committees through
holding conferences in each upazila and district of Rangpur Division.” Nanak
said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set an example not only in the country
but all over the world through starting the purification campaign in her own
party.

“The Prime Minister is not exempting any type of crimes like casino,
corruption and terrorism. No matter how big the ‘person’ is, she is taking
stern legal action soon after receiving concrete complaints,” he said. Nanak
said some unscrupulous people have entered AL.

“Those who are outsiders in AL and were never involved in our party
activities, are now tactfully sitting within the party,” he said and directed
leaders and workers of AL and associate bodies to find them out.

Nanak said the central conference of AL will be held on December 23 and 22
next. “We want to finish district-upazila conferences before holding the
central conference,” he said.

Nanak categorically reminded that everybody should have to abandon
practice of keeping own people, housework people in the committees in
district and upazila level conferences.

“We will not tolerate any practice of grouping in district and upazila
level committees. If grouping is found, it will not be tolerated,” he
cautioned.

“Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Barrister Moudud Ahmed are talking with
bigger words. Our sister Sonny was killed at BUET. Then, they did not arrest
the killers and bring them under trial,” he said.

But, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is not exempting or rescuing anyone who
commits crimes.

Ramesh Chandra Sen said to make the party more organized; all organizing
committees of the associate bodies would have to be dissolved for reshuffling
of those anew. He called upon leaders and workers of AL and its all associate
bodies for completing conferences of the district and upazila unit committees
for bringing more dynamism in organisational activities for strengthening the
party across Bangladesh.

Former Minister Montazur Rahman Fizar, MP, former State Minister Md
