ARREST-YABA
Two held with 10,000 yaba tablets in city
DHAKA, Oct 14, 2019 (BSS) – Members of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka
Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested two persons with 10,000 pieces of yaba
tablets from Wari area here.
The arrested were identified as Ali Hossain, 31, and Md Ridwan, 23.
Gulshan zonal team of DB (north) conducted a drive at Wari, old Dhaka
around 6:45 pm on Sunday and arrested them in possession of 10,000 pieces of
yaba tablets, additional deputy commissioner of DB (north division) Md Golam
Saklayen said today.
Deputy Commissioner DB (north division) Mashiur Rahman said that the
arrestees confessed that they used to buy yaba pills from the frontier area
of Cox’s Bazar district and sell the abusive drugs among drug traders in the
city’s Wari and Sutrapur areas.
A case has been filed against them with Wari Police Station.
