Public University storm into inter-university football final
DHAKA, Oct 14, 2019 (BSS) – Public University stormed into the final of the United Group Faraaz Inter University Gold Cup Football tournament knocking out IUBAT by 3-0 goals in the second semifinal held on Monday at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamlapur.
Public University will now play the final against South East University on October 21 at Bangabandhu National Stadium at 3.30 pm.
After the barren first, Shakhawat finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal for Public University in the 61st minute while Ripon Mollah doubled the lead in the 70th minute.
Ashraful Islam completed the winners’ tally scoring the third goal in the 70th minute of the match.
