DHAKA, Oct 13, 2019 (BSS)- The test firing of Orlikon Rudder Control gun
(anti-aircraft gun) was held today at Nidania AD Firing Range in Cox’s Bazar.
The firing was conducted under the arrangement of Adhoc 48 Air Defence
Artillery Regiment, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release said
here.
Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed witnessed the firing as the chief
guest while high military officials were present.
General Aziz expressed his satisfaction at inclusion of the anti-aircraft
gun like Orlikon Rudder Control gun in Bangladesh Army’s list of weapon.
This modern technology-based weapon will strengthen the Bangladesh Army’s
air defence system and enhanced its capability to a great extent specially in
providing air defence protection.
