DUNMUN conference begins at DU

DHAKA, Oct 12, 2019 (BSS) – With the theme, “Reducing Global
Inequalities by Bolstering Trade Development”, a three-day long Dhaka
University National Model United Nations (DUNMUN) conference-2019 began today
at DU.

DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today inaugurated
the conference organised by Dhaka University Model United Nations Association
(DUMUNA) at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the campus.

UNIDO Representative of Bangladesh Dr. Zaki Uz Zaman, Moderator of
DUMUNA Prof. Dr. Md. Delwar Hossain and ex-President of DUMUNA Muhammad Mamun
Mia addressed the conference with DUNMUN secretary general Chowdhury Mujaddid
Ahmed in the chair.

While addressing, Prof Akhtaruzzaman urged the youth community to play
an effective role to reduce inequality in every sphere of the society
including education, research, trade and business.

He also called upon them to achieve technological advancement to face
the global challenges. He stressed the need for utilizing the power of youth
properly to make Bangladesh a developed country.

About 500 students from home and abroad are participating in the
conference.
