Nasim urges BNP to respect people’s voting rights

DHAKA, July 27, 2017 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today urged BNP to respect the right of people’s voting.

“Respect the right of the people, respect the Constitutions of the
country…People have the right to vote in the election to select a party to run the state. So, maintain a peaceful atmosphere to ensure a violence free and fair election,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar at MIS auditorium of Directorate General Health Services (DGHS) at city’s Mohakhali area.

Communicable Disease Control (CDC) organised the event, marking the World Hepatitis Day.

Nasim, also the Presidium Member of Awami League, said, “BNP did not take part in the previous general election as it was infected by virus. The virus is yet to be removed from them. So, they are seeing everything yellowish like Hepatitis patients.”

He suggested removing of the virus from BNP as soon as possible and joining the next general election for the wellbeing of the country.

State Minister of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque was the special guest at the programme with Director General (DG) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad in the chair.

The speakers emphasised the need for taking preventive measures, including screening of all blood donors and testing of all donated blood, proper sterilization of equipment and safe waste disposal practices at all public and private hospitals and clinics.
