DHAKA, July 27, 2017 (BSS) – Law Minister Anisul Huq today said the government will form an independent prosecution service in the country and it has already taken a decision in principle in this regard.

“The process will not complete overnight. It will be completed in phases,” Anisul said while talking to newsmen after coming out of a meeting with deputy commissioners (DCs) on the third and closing day of DC Conference at the secretariat in the city.

“We are considering whether to give the responsibility of making appointments for this prosecution service to Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission. We are also giving proposals to increase the salaries of government pleaders, public prosecutors, assistant public prosecutors and assistant government pleaders,” he added.
