KHULNA, Oct 9, 2019 (BSS) – A court here today sentenced two people to life
term imprisonment for killing a student of government B L College in the
city.
The convicts are Arif Sheikh, 30, and Rahmat Ali, 24. The court fined Taka
5,000 each, in default, they will be imprisoned one more year.
The court also acquitted 12 accused in the case.
The Judge Md Nazrul Islam of Special Trial Tribunal of Khulna handed down
the verdict in presence of all 14 people of the case.
The court sources said the two accused hacked Abdullah Al Foysal, 26, a
fourth year student of government B L College, to death on the night of June
20, 2017 at Deana Purbopara Hospital area in the city.
His father Faruk Hossain Molla filed a murder case with Daulatpur Police
Station on the next day.
Sheikh Abu Bakkar, inspector of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI)
pressed a charge sheet to the court accusing 14 people on March 8, 2018.
