PM orders solving problems of vision impaired job seekers

DHAKA, Oct 9, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today directed the Ministry of Public Administration to take necessary steps to solve the problems of the vision impaired job seekers.

The Prime Minister gave the directives when a six-member delegation of Chakuri Prottyashi Drishti Protibandhi Parishad (council of vision impaired job aspirants) called on her at Ganobhaban here.

After the call on, Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon briefed the newsmen.

During the meeting, the delegation members put forwarded a six-point demand that included reintroduction of quota in the public services and arrangement of special BCS exam for the vision impaired job seekers.

Besides, they also demanded appointing them as resource teachers in 64 districts of the country under the Ministry of Social Welfare.

The delegation thanked the Prime Minister for giving them job of class one and class two officers in the public services in 2012 as well as giving bank loans and tax waiver to their job providers.

State Minister for Public Administration Md Farhad Hossain and Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry Faiz Ahmed were present on the occasion.
