No one will remain homeless: Enamur

DHAKA, Oct 8, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Disaster Management and
Relief Dr Md Enamur Rahman today said the government is constructing 11,500
more houses for the homeless people, assuring that no one will remain
homeless in the country in the days to come.

“The present government is working for the welfare of the country’s
people,” he said while inaugurating 50 disaster-resistant houses for gipsy
and transgender communities in Kaiserkonda area, Dhamrai upazila here.

As per the election manifesto of the government, no person will remain
homeless and villages will turn into towns, Enamur said.

“No one will live in floating boats…the government will provide home to
all the homeless people,” he added.

DIG (Dhaka Range) Habibur Rahman, superintendent of police (Dhaka
district) Mahruf Sardar, Savar upazila nirbahi officer Parvezur Rahman and
Savar municipality mayor Abdul Gani, among others, were present.
