DHAKA, Oct 8, 2019 (BSS) – Head coach Russell Domingo and fast bowling coach Charl Langeveldt would return to country on October 20 to take the charge of the national team who will start their practice for the upcoming India series on October 25.

Domingo and Langeveldt are currently in Sri Lanka with Bangladesh A team as they want to observe the players. Most of the national players were the part of second string Bangladesh team in this series and hence the coaches remain serious about them as they want to sort out some players who could be good option for longer version format.

Bangladesh will play three-match T20 International and two-match Test series in India. With the two-match Test series, they will start World Test Championship journey, which is why the series is important for the team.

However after the completion of the series in Sri Lanka, Domingo and Lengeveldt will head towards South Africa to spend some time with family, said BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Akram.

But they would return on October 20 and would sit with the Cricket Operations to devise further plan for the national team’s tour in India. At the same time, they are expected to see a match of National Cricket League (NCL) in which several senior national players will be playing.

Bangladesh A however settled for draw in both of the longer version match against Sri Lanka A. The two teams will play a three-match one-day now.
