DHAKA, May 28, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today said BNP is resorting to falsehood for skipping next general election.

“They (BNP) are trying to find out exit root from the national election…. The party should participate in the next general election for their survival in politics,” he told a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club here.

Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote organized the discussion as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received an honorary Doctor of Literature (D. Litt) from Kazi Nazrul University of West Bengal, India.

General Secretary Dhaka City South unit of Awami League Shahe Alam Murad, professionals and leaders of the Sangskritik jote, among others, addressed the function with its advisor Chitraranjan Das in the chair.

Hasan said, “India is a friendly country of Bangladesh. Both two countries are maintaining good bilateral relations for boosting economic development. But BNP cannot tolerate good relation between Bangladesh and India as the party does not want peace and progress in the region.”
