Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka in SAFF U-18 Championship tomorrow

DHAKA, Sept 20, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh U-18 national football team take on
Sri Lanka in their opening group A match of the SAFF U-18 Championship
scheduled to be held tomorrow (Saturday) at APF Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The match kicks off at 3 pm.

Prior to the match against Sri Lanka, team’s manager Amer Khan said, “It’s
time for the boys to give their test following the practice session which
they had underwent for a long time.”

The main motto of the coach and players are to win the match and aim to
make a winning start and boys are ready for to play, according to a message
received here from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today.

Goalkeeper Shanto Kumar Roy said they are going to play the first match
against Sri Lanka tomorrow and would try to win the match.

He said the coach has been working to strengthen the attacking zone of the
team and the strikers are in good shape now and ready to give their best in
the match against Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh, the runners-up of the previous edition in 2017, will play
their last group match against India on Monday (September 23).

The group round matches will conclude on September 25 after which the top
two sides from each group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for
September 27.

The final will be held on September 29. All the matches will be held at
APF Stadium in Kathmandu.
