Eight more matches of School Handball decided

DHAKA, Sept 20, 2019 (BSS)- Eight more matches of the Polar Ice Cream 26th
School Handball tournament (boys’ and girls’) were decided on the second day
(Friday) at Shaheed Captain M Monsur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.

On the day’s girls’ section matches, Saint Francis Xavier’s Girls’ School
and College beat Shaheed Sheikh Russell Government High School by 6-0 goals
after leading the first half by 6-0, Shaheed Police Smrity College defeated
Willes Little Flower School and College by 11-2 goals after dominating the
first half by 5-0 goals, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College drubbed
Dhanmondi Tutorial by 17-0 goals after dominating the first half by 9-0
goals, Scholastica Mirpur outclassed Cambrian School and College by 18-0
goals after dominating the first half by 8-0 goals, Uttara Girls High School
blanked Rajdhani Girls High School and College by 5-0 goals after leading the
first half by 3-0 goals and Bangladesh International School and College
defeated South Breeze School by 7-1 goals after leading the first half by 2-0
goals.

In the boys’ section matches, Scholastica (Uttara) beat Ideal School and
College by 18-7 goals after dominating the first half by 9-2 goals while
Scholastica (Mirpur) defeated Motijheel Government Boys’ High School by 15-8
goals after leading the first half by 6-1 goals.

A total of 37 metropolis school teams– 19 of boys and 18 of girls– split
into six groups in each section are taking part in the meet, sponsored by
Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Limited and organised by Bangladesh Handball
Federation (BHF).
