Construction bills to be paid, according to work: Maleque
DHAKA, Sept 19, 2019 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid
Maleque today said all bills related to the health sector will be paid after
understanding the quality of the work done.
“The days of withdrawing money through bills by various contractors
without working properly in the government hospitals are over. All concerned
contractors will be paid bills after scrutinizing the quality of their work.
No illogical or ghost bills can be signed in any way in future,” he said at a
meeting.
The minister was speaking at a meeting held at the Health Ministry’s
conference room in the capital with the Directors of the Government
Hospitals, Principals and Directors of the Institutes to review the visible
progress of the country’s health service.
Health Service Division Secretary Md Asadul Islam, Director General of
Health Services Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad, Dhaka Medical College Hospital
(DMCH) Director Brig Gen AKM Nasir Uddin and Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic
Surgery Institute Chief Coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen were present on the
occasion.
