DHAKA, Sept 18, 2019 (BSS)-It’s all about a story of success. Some self-confident women in capital’s Mirpur-11 area have become self-reliant by engaging themselves in a joint venture financial scheme named Tarango. Now, all of the members of the group are passing their busy days happily with their family.

Though, Tarango members currently have become financially solvent, but their past days were not so good. Most of the members were poor and some of them were ultra poor. Today, 20 members of the group have proven their ability by establishing themselves as small entrepreneurs.

Tarango group consists of 20 members where every member has to deposit their savings minimum Taka 100 in a week and DPS minimum Taka 200 in a month. From the savings and DPS money, members can take loan for any kind of small business by paying low interest rate, which is also deposited in the members account. This is the main financial source of the members. Every member of the group is depositing money and taking loan for business in such way. All the members of the group have individual businesses. All of them are financially capable and dreaming their better future. Heed Bangladesh, a local non-government organization is also collaborating them.

Tarango member Jonaki Akter, a small entrepreneur and owner of Jaman Shoe, said, “One day I heard the name of Tarango group which is helping women by providing some facilities from my neighbor. Then I showed my keen interest to see their activities where I have found some positive works, which is only for women entrepreneurship. Thatwas my first dreaming day to become a self-reliant woman.” She said,

“At present I have a joint ownership shoe factory with my brother Jaman. I took Taka two lakh loan from the group and invested the money at the shoe factory. In the last three years, I have repaid the loan with low interest and now I am earning around Taka 15, 000 from my business. In the two Eid seasons, I earn more than one lakh Taka. I am very much pleased to Tarango group and depositing money till now. I wish I will open a boutique shop by taking loan from it in future.”
