DHAKA, Sept 17, 2019 (BSS) – Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Liu Zhenhua has welcomed the Bangladeshi companies to take part in the 2nd ‘China International Import Expo 2019’, to be held on November 5-10 at Shanghai.

“Last year, Bangladesh attended the 1st ‘China International Import Expo 2018’ at Shanghai in China. This year, the second ‘China International Import Expo 2019’ will be held at same time and same place,” he said.

The Chinese commercial counselor said this while speaking as the special guest at the installation ceremony of the newly elected executive committee of Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) at Westin Hotel in the city on Monday night.

Like earlier, Liu Zhenhua hoped, Bangladesh will take part in the event and promote its various products among the consumers of China as well as the whole world.

In 2018, eight government organisations from Bangladesh took part in the expo for promoting Bangladeshi products as well as attracting investment. Those were Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA), Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC), Jute Diversification Promotion Center (JDPC) and Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BJMC). Liu Zhenhua said China and Bangladesh are going to fast development in the areas of investment, infrastructure, construction and cooperation and China is the biggest development partner of Bangladesh.

Different Chinese aid and G2G projects are being implemented or to be started soon, he added.

He said Chinese and Bangladeshi companies are also contributing a lot to increase economic and trade relationships between the two countries.
