Bangladesh face Qatar in AFC U-16 Championship-2020 Qualifiers tomorrow

DHAKA, Sept 17, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh will take on host Qatar in their
opening group E match opening match of the AFC U-16 Championship-2020
Qualifiers scheduled to be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at Aspire Dome Indoor
Stadium in Doha.

The match kicks off at 10 pm (BST).

Bangladesh, Bhutan, Yemen and host Qatar are group E in the qualifiers,
according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation this
evening.

Team’s head coach Robert Martin Ryles, talking to the pre-match press
conference today (Tuesday) prior to the first match against Qatar, said: “We
have had a good preparation for the tournament over the last couple of
months. They Boys gained valuable experience of playing competitive
international matches in the SAFF U-15 Championship last month. The team is
as ready as ever for the AFC Qualifiers.”

“Our main objective is players will get more valuable experience for these
competitions and play game-by-game and try qualifying for the AFC U-16
Championship next year,” he added.

Meanwhile, the team finished the manager’s meeting and pre-match
conference today at Aspire Dome Indoor Stadium, the venue of the tournament
in Doha.

Now, the day’s outside temperature is between 36-42oC. Bangladesh team’s
head coach Robert Martin Ryles, however, not so worried about the weather in
Qatar as all the matches and team’s practice session will be held at the
Aspire Dome Indoor Stadium is fully air conditioned, the press release added.

Bangladesh will play their second group match against Bhutan on September
20 before playing their last group match against Yemen on September 22.
