DHAKA, May 26, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) here today issued warning of signal number one for river ports of 18 districts in the country. The inland river port warning has been issued for Rajshahi, Rangpur, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s bazar and Sylhet, according to a BMD message released this morning.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary West or North-Westerly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur in many places over the country in the next 12 hours commencing 6pm today, it added.
