Government implementing all dev works transparently: Narayan

 KHULNA, May 25, 2018 (BSS) – Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda here today said the government is implementing all the development works with utmost sincerity and transparently.

The minister said the construction of 36 new primary school buildings, 19 secondary school buildings and five college buildings under Dumuria upazila is progressing fast.

He also asked authority concerned to remain alert so that no irregularities can take place during construction of these buildings.

The minister was addressing as the chief guest while laying foundation stone of Kaipokuria Magurkhali Secondary School cum Cyclone Shelter in Dumuria upazila.

The minister said re-excavation of Bhadra river from Zero point to Satkhira is progressing and silted canals of the region also will re-excavated for keeping rivers navigability.

With President of managing committee of school Kumud Ranjan Mallick in the chair, the function was attended by Dumuria UNO Shahnaz Begum, Officer-in- Charge of Dumuria Police Station Habil Hossain, Union Parishad Chairman Bimol Krisna Sana and Project Implementation Officer Ashraf Hossain.

Directorate of Disaster Management is implementing the project with a cost of Taka 2.17crore.
